Journalism is suffering, bias and echo chambers muddle objective information, free voices are being ostracized. OLAS is an ownerless and autonomous open protocol that offers a bulletproof environment against all types of censorship. Utilizing a neutral prediction market and an open system that offers independent financial incentives, OLAS is here to make a difference.
We created a visual identity that expresses their personality – clear, direct, approachable.
The minimal, typographic logo (O) signifies universality and the flow of information. Deep diving into the website design, we managed to facilitate the intuitive navigation of the user and their familiarization with the platform’s philosophy, using custom-made vector infographic illustrations.
The chosen palette works on both a symbolic and a psychological level.
Blue was our go-to tone as it is associated with information technology, whereas the warmth of orange is linked with people. The blend of the two create a visual balance and a gradient effect that makes the browsing experience comfortable and welcoming.
We followed a similar principle in choosing the fonts. The main typeface is round and friendly while the one selected for the body of the text is more “journalistic”, creating both an inviting feeling as well as an easy-to-read environment.
The thing about design and the implementations that follow is that simplicity is not quite simple.
